At 300 °C and under high pressure, the arms are formed in hardened stainless steel molds. Since this process is similar to the manufacturing of highly stressed components in large aircraft construction, it has been adopted for the production of these servo arms. The result is a high-strength arm that compares favorably with aluminum. However, it is lighter and more vibration-resistant than aluminum.
