Wie damals, ist auch die Neuauflage in zwei Versionen erhältlich. Zum einen in der klassischen Antriebsvariante für Glühzündermotoren mit ca. 3,5ccm, zum anderen für Elektroantrieb, jedoch in modernerer Ausführung als 1977 für die aktuell, leistungsstärkeren Brushless Antriebe in Verbindung mit Lipo Akku. Speziell die „Speed“ Version, mit der nach außen verjüngten Tragfläche wirkt optisch dynamisch und unterstreicht den Anspruch eines Speed Modells seiner Zeit. Nicht zuletzt deswegen war der Rasant schon in den 70er Jahren ein beliebtes Modell, um beispielsweise seine eigenen Antriebsvarianten zu verbauen. So mancher Modellbauer, installierte damals gar einen 6,5ccm Glühzündermotor mit Resonanzrohr.
