♻️ Note on the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE Annex 3)
Regarding the legally compliant disposal of electrical appliances, please observe the following points:
General Disposal Obligation
- In accordance with the "crossed-out waste bin" symbol displayed on electrical appliances, these may not be disposed of with unsorted residual waste.
- All battery-powered items for model building are considered "small appliances" according to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) and must be handed in as such for environmentally friendly disposal at municipal collection points. This return is free of charge for you.
Alternative Return Options
As an alternative to municipal collection points, free return is possible under the following conditions:
- Brick-and-mortar and online retailers with a storage/sales area of = 400sqm, regardless of whether a new device is purchased.
- Food retailers offering or providing electrical appliances multiple times and with a total sales area of >= 800sqm.
Important Obligations Before Returning
- Before returning, there is an obligation to remove accessible batteries or rechargeable batteries as well as lamps that can be removed non-destructively.
