Information on the Battery Act
The following information is for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form in which they were supplied (end-users):
1. Free take-back of old batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return old batteries to ensure proper disposal.
- You can drop off old batteries at a municipal collection point or locally.
- As a distributor of batteries, we are obliged to take back old batteries. Our take-back obligation is limited to old batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range.
- You can therefore either send old batteries of the aforementioned type back to us with sufficient postage or drop them off free of charge directly at our dispatch warehouse at the following address:
Der Himmlische Höllein GmbH & Co. KG
Stefan Höllein
Glender Weg 6
96486 Unterlauter
2. Meaning of battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin.

This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
For batteries containing more than:
- 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury (Hg)
- 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium (Cd)
- 0.004 percent by mass of lead (Pb)
the chemical designation of the respective pollutant used is located below the wheeled bin symbol – "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.
Please observe the above information!
