Peel ply has long been known in aircraft construction. The plain weave fabric made of nylon is incorporated as the last layer into an epoxy or polyester resin laminate. After curing or before bonding the parts, the peel ply is peeled off ("torn off"). This leaves a uniformly rough, grease-free, bondable surface. Universally for epoxy, vinylester and polyester resins.
