Bat-Safe LiPo Safety Case for Charging and Storage

The dangers that can potentially emanate from LiPo batteries are now globally recognized. Some of you surely know colleagues whose LiPo packs have already caught fire. The heat generated in such cases is so extreme that firefighting becomes very difficult.

The BAT-SAFE is currently the only protective case available on the market for LiPo batteries that REALLY WORKS. The innovative case was developed by Tom Mast, a renowned aerospace engineer and passionate model aircraft enthusiast. The idea came to him after his house was almost engulfed in flames due to a LiPo fire.
The BAT-SAFE is designed so that batteries can be charged and, of course, stored inside it. The charging cables are routed outwards through a flame-retardant opening. Should a battery ever catch fire, the resulting pressure inside can escape. This happens through the upper ventilation holes, and at the same time, the smoke is also filtered. Temperatures of up to 800°C can occur inside the box during a fire. Due to the special insulation of the box, the outside of the bottom and side wall only heats up to a maximum of 80°C. The escaping gas does not get hotter than 150°C. When charging batteries in the box, the maximum charging capacity of 222Wh should not be exceeded. For example, two 6S batteries with 5000mAh can be charged and stored.
