Bat-Safe-MINI LiPo Safety Case for Charging and Storage

The dangers that can arise from LiPo batteries are now well-known worldwide. Many people probably know colleagues whose LiPo pack has already gone up in flames. The heat generated is so extreme that firefighting is very difficult.

The BAT-SAFE is currently the only available protection for LiPo batteries on the market THAT REALLY WORKS. The innovative case was developed by Tom Mast, a renowned aerospace engineer and avid model airplane enthusiast. The idea came to him when his house almost went up in flames due to a LiPo fire.
The BAT-SAFE is designed so that batteries can be charged and, of course, stored inside. The charging cables are routed outside through a flame-retardant opening. Should a battery catch fire, the resulting pressure inside can escape. This happens through the upper ventilation holes, and at the same time, the smoke is also filtered. Inside the box, temperatures of up to 800° can be reached during a fire. Due to the special insulation of the box, the outside of the bottom and side wall will only get up to a maximum of 80° hot. The escaping gas will not be hotter than 150°C. If the batteries are charged in the box, the maximum charge size of 50Wh should not be exceeded. For example, a 2x 3S battery with 2200mAh can be charged and stored.
