Bat-Safe-XL LiPo Safety Case for Charging and Storage

The dangers that can arise from LiPo batteries are now globally known. Some of you surely know colleagues whose LiPo pack has caught fire. The heat generated is so extreme that firefighting is very difficult.

The BAT-SAFE XL is currently the only LiPo battery protection available on the market that REALLY WORKS. The innovative case was developed by Tom Mast, a renowned aerospace engineer and enthusiastic model aircraft pilot. The idea came to him when his house almost went up in flames due to a LiPo fire.
The BAT-SAFE is designed so that batteries can be charged and, of course, stored in it. The charging cables are routed outside through a flame-retardant opening. If a battery does catch fire, the resulting internal pressure can escape. This happens through the top ventilation holes, and at the same time, the smoke is filtered. Inside the box, temperatures can reach up to 800° during a fire. Thanks to the special insulation of the box, the outside of the bottom and sidewall will only get up to a maximum of 80° hot. The escaping gas will not be hotter than 150°C.
