Brushless RPM Sensor for UniTest 2, UniLog, UniLog 2 and JLog 2 SM-Modellbau # 2213
The brushless RPM sensor is simply connected to one of the brushless motor's leads for measurement. In the setup of the UniLog / UniTest 2 / JLog 2, the correct number of measurement pulses per revolution must be specified for RPM measurement. For the brushless RPM sensor, this is the number of motor poles. A classic inrunner, such as a Lehner or Hacker motor, has 2 poles. An outrunner usually has 10 or 14 poles. Additionally, the gear ratio can also be specified. So, if the RPM of an inrunner with a gearbox is measured with the brushless RPM sensor, an attached gearbox can also be factored in. This way, the actual propeller RPM is obtained.
