Description:

The CL-415 is a true-to-scale replica of the well-known Canadian firefighting aircraft in 1:19 scale. It was designed for propulsion with two 400-series motors with a gearbox, powered by a 10 to 12 cell battery with 1.7 Ah capacity. Flight times of 10 minutes are quite possible - with an authentic flying style.

For a 6-volt motor setup, we recommend the Race 400-6.0V brand; the matching gearbox is also available in individual parts.

The unusual appearance - the powerful tail units with auxiliary fins and "cigar", the long, slender engine nacelles, floats, winglets and the striking paint scheme - make the model stand out from the rest. Deliberately true-to-scale flying at lower altitudes is a lot of fun with this model, as the extraordinary nature of the model really comes into its own here. The construction plan shows the installation of landing flaps, which further broaden the flying spectrum. The landing gear is quickly removable, so water and snow take-offs can also be tried. With a static thrust of 1.1 kg, hand launches are also possible - with a take-off weight of over 2 kg!

The ribbed wing is continuous, as is the horizontal stabilizer. The fuselage is made of GRP-Styro-GRP construction, the vertical stabilizer (reinforced with Styro), auxiliary fins and engine nacelles are made of GRP. Floats and winglets are removable. Access for battery changes is via a large opening.
