Manned aircraft hold a special fascination when reproduced as models. This is also true for this replica of the Cessna 185, which earned the nickname "Skywagon" due to its transport capacity for up to 6 people.
The original had its maiden flight in 1960 and was built until 1981. A total of approx. 6,200 units of this type were delivered.

The model was designed with a wingspan of just under two meters at a scale of approximately 1:5.5. This size was deliberately chosen to achieve manageable dimensions while still creating a voluminous model.
The model is constructed entirely from wood. All parts have been precisely designed and laser-cut for this purpose. The fuselage consists mainly of solid plywood and is ideally suited for both internal combustion engines
and electric drives. The wings are built from a stable plywood-balsa combination and are fully planked, which gives the wings extraordinary stability and torsional rigidity.
Like the original, the model features large landing flaps that can be deployed up to 90° using special hinges. This makes landing easy even on smaller airfields.
All control surfaces are visually enhanced by a true-to-original stiffening. The window frames are installed separately, and the cockpit doors are already indicated on the fuselage.
Parts for an instrument panel are included for the cockpit interior, giving the model a realistic appearance.
The landing gear is made of GRP and is included in the kit in a white color. The corresponding pneumatic wheels and the steerable tail wheel are also included.
For the assembly of the wooden parts, a building jig and templates are included in the kit, which will enable successful assembly even with less extensive knowledge of wood construction.
A detailed 3D-style instruction manual shows every single construction step and thus leads to quick building success.
