The CUMUL DLG ARF will fulfill your dream of a handy model that you can fly practically "anywhere". A model that can even be flown with a simple two-channel system... and not to forget - with this RC-DLG you'll be fit in no time – because a hand/discus launch is an outstanding athletic achievement!
CUMUL DLG ARF is very easy to build and construction progresses quite quickly. As soon as your CUMUL DLG is ready to fly, you should also be able to master the discus launch without problems – we have included a detailed illustrated appendix in the instructions that shows you how it's done.
The CUMUL DLG model was developed and is also produced in the Czech Republic.
The front part of the fuselage is a simple box construction with balsa side panels and plywood bulkheads. The compartment for the rudder and elevator servos is located in the fuselage under a removable side cover with magnetic closure. The tail boom is a carbon tube with a glued-in plywood pylon for the horizontal stabilizer. The high-start hook for bungee launching is also included in the kit.
The one-piece wing with the YA0801 airfoil (specially developed for RC-DLG) has a classic construction with balsa ribs, a main spar made of carbon tube, and a leading edge made of beech wood for high strength at very low weight. The wing is attached to the fuselage with a plastic screw. The DLG pin can be mounted on the left wingtip (for right-handers) or on the right wingtip (for left-handers).
The tail unit is made of CNC-cut balsa boards. The rudders are controlled by Bowden cables.
The model is already covered with a lightweight iron-on film.
To control the model, you need at least a 2-channel RC set. 6g servos (0.7–0.9 kgcm torque) are required for elevator and rudder.
A 1-cell Li-Po pack 450–500 mAh is ideal for powering the onboard electronics.
The ARF quick-build kit includes:
