A small RC-DLG, a great thing for everyone who still wants to build models themselves, in the proven construction of balsa, plywood, strips and a bit of carbon fiber. The build is easy and progresses quite quickly. The CUMUL DLG might not be an ideal beginner model for newcomers without prior knowledge, but if you have at least built "something out of balsa wood and strips" before, there should be no problems during assembly. Once your CUMUL DLG is ready to fly, you should also be able to master the discus launch without any problems – we have included a detailed illustrated appendix in the instruction manual that shows you how.

This kit of a high-performance RC-DLG is a perfect project for model builders who want to build a really good model for sporty and/or "Sunday" flying. The sophisticated design with CNC-cut interlocking parts that fit together like pieces of a puzzle makes building a breeze. The ribs come with build-up tabs that allow the wing (with a hollow profile) to be built directly on a flat work surface - and all with washout.

The front part of the fuselage is a simple box construction. Top and bottom, as well as bulkheads and stringers, are made of plywood. The servo and battery compartment is located in the front part under a removable hatch with a magnetic lock. The tail boom is a carbon tube with a light pylon for the horizontal stabilizer. The bungee launch hook is also included in the kit.

The one-piece wing with the YA0801 profile ("modified" to the requirements of RC-DLG), has a classic design with CNC-cut balsa ribs, a main spar made of carbon and a leading edge made of beech wood for high strength at very low weight. The wing is attached to the fuselage with a plastic screw. The DLG peg can be mounted on the left wingtip (for right-handers) or on the right wingtip (for left-handers).

The tail unit consists of CNC-cut balsa sheets and carbon reinforcements. The elevator and rudder are controlled by servos located in the fuselage, with steel wire pushrods running through the tail boom.

For covering, an iron-on film such as light Oralight® or similar can be used.

At least a two-channel RC system is required to control your CUMUL DLG. 6g micro servos (0.7–0.9 kg.cm torque) are required for elevator and rudder.
