Wireless Trainer Cable for Radiolink

The cable for the wireless trainer system enables a wireless connection between two Radiolink transmitters. It serves as an adapter, connected to the trainer socket of the teacher transmitter and to the receiver with PPM output, which is paired with the student transmitter.

Teacher Transmitter:
The teacher transmitter (AT9S or AT10II) is paired with the receiver in a model that is controlled by the trainer system. The model is programmed in the teacher transmitter's memory, it is test-flown, and the correct functioning of all controlled functions is verified. In the BASIC/Trainer menu, control transfer between the teacher and student transmitters is activated, and it is also programmed which channels should be transferred to the student transmitter and how. Initially, we recommend using the "FUNC" mode, where the model settings in the teacher transmitter are fully utilized, while only the teacher transmitter's deflections are received from the student transmitter (thanks to which a helicopter model can be controlled with the T8FB student transmitter, even though the T8FB program does not have a helicopter program).

Student Transmitter:
The student transmitter (T8FB, AT9S or AT10II) is paired with a compatible receiver that is set to operating mode with a PPM serial output. If the student transmitter allows, set the same model type and other parameters as on the teacher transmitter (not necessary if FUNC mode is used).

• T8FB - Compatible receivers: R8EF, R8FM Mini
• AT9S - Compatible receivers: R6DS, R6DSM, R12DSM Mini (requires a firmware upgrade of the transmitter to 12-channel operation)
• AT10II - For compatible receivers: R6DS, R6DSM, the transmission mode on the transmitter must be set to "10CH" in the BASIC/SYSTEM/CH-SELECT menu. For R12DSM Mini, the same setting applies.

Commissioning:

1. Turn on the student transmitter.

2. Turn on the teacher transmitter, connect the cable for the wireless trainer system with the receiver to the trainer jack on the teacher transmitter. Ensure that the receiver is in operating mode, the PPM output is active, and the connection cable is plugged into the correct jack of the receiver (see receiver manual).

3. Turn on the model and ensure that its teacher transmitter control functions correctly.

4. Turn on the trainer switch on the teacher transmitter to give control to the student. Try again whether the model control by the student transmitter works correctly – check the neutral position (the position cannot be changed when handing over servo control), the throw size, and reverse switches for all control surfaces and other controlled functions. Adjust the student transmitter settings as needed.
