Die EG2000-Motoren sind gekapselte bürstenlose Außenläufermotoren, die im Vergleich zur XM EG30xx-Serie hinsichtlich Gewicht und Größe optimiert wurden. Es handelt sich daher um eine völlig neue Konstruktion.
Der vordere Teil ist so konzipiert, dass er in schlanke Rümpfe passt und eine einfache Montage an Modellen mit 32mm Spinner ermöglicht. Die Kabel kommen dabei hinten aus dem Motor, was den Einbau zusätzlich vereinfacht.
Das offene Gehäuse und die hohle 5mm Motorwelle reduzieren das Gewicht und verbessert die Belüftung und Kühlung.
