Retractable landing gear scale 1:3.0 with wheel ø 112mm

Following the trend towards light and stable landing gear, WEMO has converted its entire range of landing gear to retractable landing gear consisting of CFRP side panels and aluminum knuckles. All components have been modified for low weight and yet stable construction.

The side panels of the landing gear in 1:3.0 scale with 112 mm wheels are made of 4.0 mm CFRP. All milled edges are chamfered at 45 degrees, so these parts pose no risk of injury and are very pleasant to the touch. Servo wings for a standard-sized servo are integrated into the side panels as standard on the left and right. This eliminates the need for additional purchase of servo mounts, and the servos for wheel drive and the brake servo can be installed directly. Fastening is intended with M3 screws, and the holes matching the servo are already present in the servo mounts.

Weight-optimized and elegantly designed execution through CNC-manufactured geometry. Due to the mechanical design, the wheel is firmly locked in the extended/retracted state. Thus, the wheel cannot be extended by centrifugal forces, for example, during a loop. The attachment in the glider is done in the undamped version between 2 bulkheads.

• The attachment in the glider in the damped version is done on a main bulkhead, the movable part of the landing gear is only guided laterally in a thin bulkhead at the rear.
• The installation height of the retractable landing gear in the fuselage is variable.
• The moving parts are mounted in brass bushings.

The basic equipment consists of:

• the two side panels in 4.0 mm carbon
• the two wheel arms in 5.0 mm aluminum (mirror-polished)
• the necessary spacers
• servo mounts for two servos
• the swivel mechanism including drive lever
• the necessary stainless steel screws
• 1 solid rubber wheel 112 mm from FEMA (the FEMA wheel is equipped with ball bearings)
• two front flange plates for mounting the landing gear in the main bulkhead
  (these allow the landing gear to move backward/upward for vibration rubber mounts/suspension)
