Retract Scale 1:4.0 with Wheel ø 90mm

As few landing gear systems are available on the market for this scale, WEMO has addressed the issue and designed a lightweight, yet sturdy retractable landing gear.

The side parts and the steering knuckles of the landing gear in 1:4.0 scale with 90 mm wheels are made of 4.0 mm carbon fiber. All milled edges are chamfered at 45 degrees, so these parts pose no risk of injury and are pleasant to the touch. The left side panel comes standard with two servo mounts for a standard-sized servo for wheel drive. This eliminates the need to purchase additional servo mounts, and the servo for wheel drive can be installed directly. Fastening with M3 screws is intended, and the holes matching the servo are already present in the servo mounts.  

Weight-optimized and elegantly designed thanks to CNC-manufactured geometry. Due to the mechanical design, the wheel is firmly locked in the extended/retracted position. Thus, the wheel cannot be extended by centrifugal forces, for example, during a loop.

• mounting in the glider is done firmly between two bulkheads or at the rear together with the vibration damper mounting
• the landing gear is locked at the front with a cross brace in the main bulkhead
• the installation height of the retract in the fuselage is variable
• the moving parts are mounted in brass bushings

The basic equipment consists of:

• the two side parts in 4.0 mm carbon
• the two trailing arms in 4.0 mm carbon
• the necessary spacer bolts
• servo mounts for one servo
• the swivel mechanism including drive lever
• the necessary stainless steel screws
• 1 solid rubber wheel 90 mm with aluminum rim

NEW:

This landing gear size has been designed so that vibration dampeners can be used at the rear. For this purpose, the recess for the mounting clip on the front has been changed. This mounting now allows a degree of movement of the landing gear at the rear of approx. 30 mm upwards, so that the vibration dampeners can work.
If the vibration dampeners are not used and the landing gear is installed firmly between two bulkheads, the CFK clip at the front fixes the landing gear firmly in the bulkhead.
