Retractable landing gear scale 1:4.5 with wheel ø 76mm

As there are only a few landing gears available on the market for this scale, WEMO has taken on the challenge and designed a light, yet stable retractable landing gear.

The side parts and the steering knuckles of the 1:4.5 scale landing gear with a 76 mm wheel are made of 3.0 mm CFRP. All milled edges are provided with a 45-degree chamfer, so that these parts pose no risk of injury and the haptics are very pleasant. Two servo wings for a servo are standardly installed in the left side part (wheel drive servo standard size 20 mm). This eliminates the need to purchase an additional servo mount, and the servo for the wheel drive can be installed directly. Fastening with M3 screws is intended; the holes matching the servo are already present in the servo mount. The corresponding screws/nuts are included.

Weight-optimized and elegantly designed due to CNC-manufactured geometry. Due to the mechanical design, the wheel is firmly locked when extended/retracted. Thus, the wheel cannot be extended by centrifugal forces, for example, during a loop.

• the attachment in the glider is firmly between two bulkheads. Suspension/damping is not provided for this scale, nor is a brake

• the moving parts are mounted in brass bushings

The basic equipment consists of:

• the two side parts in 3.0 mm carbon
• the two wheel arms in 3.0 mm carbon
• the necessary spacers
• servo mount for one servo (wheel drive)
• the pivoting mechanism including drive lever
• the necessary screws made of stainless steel
• 1 solid rubber wheel 76 mm with aluminum rim
