The Jeti Power-Ion battery packs are special batteries for powering the receiver system and servos in the model. The main advantages of Power-Ion receiver batteries are high mechanical resistance due to their metal cell casings and long service life. No balancer is required for operation and charging, and in the event of a short circuit with a current higher than 150A, a short-circuit protection is activated. Overcharge protection is activated if the charging voltage rises above 5V per cell. The batteries are also functional at very low or very high temperatures (-10 to +60 ° C).
Each Power-Ion battery pack is equipped with a JR connection cable and an MPX connection cable.
For higher currents, we recommend connecting the receiver system via the MPX plug and using the JR plug as a charging connector (ATTENTION! Set a maximum charging current of 3A via the JR cable). Both cables have the same length.
The Power-Ion battery packs are supplied in a plastic mounting frame, in which the batteries are fastened with the enclosed Velcro strap. This mounting frame is screw-mounted in the model via rubber grommets for vibration protection. Insert the enclosed brass grommets into the rubber elements so that the side with the contact surface faces the mounting surface. This prevents the rubber elements from being compressed.
