Why Aeronaut CAMcarbon?

The Special Features:

The special features of the new CAM folding propellers are the enormous innovations compared to the classicPROP. This new generation, developed by R. Freudenthaler, has an optimized, very thin airfoil design and a computer-calculated airfoil twist, which leads to very high accuracy with optimal efficiency and low power consumption from the motor.

CAM? What is that...?

CAM is English and stands for "Computer Aided Manufacturing." Unlike the previous classicPROP, the molds for the injection molding process are no longer made by hand but are developed on a PC with the help of a CAD program (Computer Aided Design). The manufacturing of these molds is then controlled by the PC based on the input data. This is an enormous advantage, as it is hardly possible to produce a more precise mold, and the final propeller has practically no deviations from the original model.

The Material:

Only a mixture of carbon fibers with nylon is used as the material, which gives the propeller high torsional stiffness and has proven itself in our propellers for years. Carbon is a very strong material, so the propeller retains its shape even under high loads. This is, of course, an advantage over fiberglass-reinforced plastic propellers, which achieve different efficiencies under high loads compared to a CAMcarbon!
