Why Aeronaut CAMcarbon?
The Special Features:
The special thing about the new CAM folding propellers is the enormous improvements over the classicPROP. This new generation, developed by R. Freudenthaler, features an optimized, very thin airfoil design and a computer-calculated airfoil twist, which leads to very high accuracy with optimal efficiency and low power consumption from the motor.
CAM? What is that...?
CAM is English and stands for "Computer Aided Manufacturing." Unlike the previous classicPROP, the molds for the injection molding process are no longer made by hand but are developed on a PC using CAD software (Computer Aided Design). The production of these molds is then controlled by the PC based on the input data. This is an enormous advantage, as a more precise mold can hardly be produced, and the final propeller has virtually no deviations from the original model.

The Material:
Only a mixture of carbon fibers with nylon is used as the material, which gives the propeller high torsional rigidity and has proven itself for years in our propellers. Carbon is a very strong material, so the propeller retains its shape even under high loads. This is, of course, an advantage over fiberglass-plastic propellers, which achieve different efficiencies under high loads compared to a CAMcarbon!
