Why Aeronaut CAMcarbon?

The special features:

The special thing about the new CAM folding propellers is the enormous improvements compared to the classicPROP. This new generation, developed by R. Freudenthaler, has an optimized very thin airfoil design and a computer-calculated blade twist, which leads to very high accuracy with optimal efficiency and low power consumption of the motor.

CAM? What is that...?

CAM is English and stands for "Computer Aided Manufacturing". The molds for the injection molding process are no longer made by hand as with the previous classicPROP, but are developed on a PC with the help of a CAD program (Computer Aided Design). The manufacturing of these molds is then controlled by the PC based on the entered data. This is an enormous advantage, as a more accurate mold can hardly be produced, and the final propeller has practically no deviations from the original model.

The material:

The material used is exclusively a mixture of carbon fibers with nylon, which gives the propeller high torsional rigidity and has proven itself over many years with our propellers. Carbon is a very strong material, so the propeller retains its shape even under high loads. This is, of course, an advantage over propellers made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, which achieve different efficiencies under high loads than a CAMcarbon!
