Why Aeronaut CAMcarbon?

The Special Features:

The special features of the new CAM folding propellers are the enormous innovations compared to the classicPROP. This new generation, developed by R. Freudenthaler, has an optimized very thin airfoil design and a computationally calculated profile twist, which leads to very high accuracy with optimal efficiency and low power consumption of the motor.

CAM? What is that...?

CAM is an acronym for "Computer Aided Manufacturing." Unlike the previous classicPROP, the molds for the injection molding process are no longer made by hand, but are developed on a PC with the help of a CAD program (Computer Aided Design). The manufacturing of these molds is then controlled by the PC based on the input data. This is an enormous advantage, as a more precise mold can hardly be manufactured, and the final propeller has practically no deviations from the master model.

The Material:

Only a mixture of carbon fibers with nylon is used as the material, which gives the propeller high torsional rigidity and has proven itself for years in our propellers. Carbon is a very strong material, so the propeller retains its shape even under high loads. This is, of course, an advantage over fiberglass-reinforced plastic propellers, which achieve different efficiencies under high loads compared to a CAMcarbon!
