Why Aeronaut CAMcarbon?

The Special Features:

The special thing about the new CAM folding propellers are the enormous innovations compared to the classicPROP. This new generation, developed by R. Freudenthaler, features an optimized, very thin airfoil design and a computer-calculated airfoil section, resulting in very high precision with optimal efficiency and low power consumption for the motor.

CAM? What is that...?

CAM stands for "Computer Aided Manufacturing." The molds for the injection molding process are no longer made by hand as with the previous classicPROP, but are developed on a PC with the help of a CAD program (Computer Aided Design). The production of these molds is then controlled by the PC based on the input data. This is an enormous advantage, as a more precise mold can hardly be produced, and the final propeller has practically no deviations from the master model.

The Material:

Only a mixture of carbon fibers with nylon is used as the material, which gives the propeller high torsional rigidity and has proven itself in our propellers for years. Carbon is a very strong material, so the propeller retains its shape even under high loads. This is, of course, an advantage over propellers made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, which achieve different efficiencies under high loads than a CAMcarbon!
