Why Aeronaut CAMcarbon?

What makes it special:

What makes the new CAM folding propellers special are the enormous improvements compared to the classicPROP. This new generation, developed by R. Freudenthaler, features an optimized, very thin airfoil design and a computer-calculated airfoil twist, which leads to very high accuracy with optimal efficiency and low power consumption from the motor.

CAM? What is that...?

CAM stands for "Computer Aided Manufacturing." The molds for the injection molding process are no longer handcrafted as with the previous classicPROP, but are developed on a PC using a CAD program (Computer Aided Design). The manufacturing of these molds is then controlled by the PC based on the input data. This is an enormous advantage, as a more precise mold can hardly be produced, and the final propeller has practically no deviations from the master model.

Material:

Only a mixture of carbon fibers with nylon is used as a material, which gives the propeller high torsional stiffness and has proven itself for years in our propellers. Carbon is a very strong material, so the propeller maintains its shape even under high loads. This is, of course, an advantage over fiberglass-reinforced plastic propellers, which achieve different efficiencies under high loads compared to a CAMcarbon!
