Why Aeronaut CAMcarbon?

What makes it special:

What makes the new CAM folding propellers special are the enormous improvements compared to the classicPROP. This new generation, developed by R. Freudenthaler, features an optimized, very thin airfoil design and a computer-calculated airfoil twist, which leads to very high accuracy with optimal efficiency at low motor power consumption.

CAM? What is that...?

CAM stands for "Computer Aided Manufacturing." The molds for the injection process are no longer produced by hand, as with the previous classicPROP, but are developed on a PC using CAD software (Computer Aided Design). The production of these molds is then controlled by the PC based on the input data. This is an enormous advantage, as a more precise mold can hardly be produced, and the final propeller has practically no deviations from the original model.

The material:

Only a mixture of carbon fibers with nylon is used as the material, which gives the propeller high torsional stiffness and has proven itself for years in our propellers. Carbon is a very strong material, so the propeller retains its shape even under high loads. This is, of course, an advantage compared to fiberglass-plastic propellers, which achieve different efficiencies under high loads than a CAMcarbon!
