In addition to the center of gravity, the EWD (Angle of Incidence Difference) must also be correct for the model to fly well. Inaccurate settings quickly lead to countless test flights or an immediate crash. With the EWD scale, this uncertainty during the maiden flight can be avoided.
EWD measurement with prism or measuring pin on:
- highly curved airfoils (no measurement error due to measuring pin)
- T-tail, cruciform tail
- V-tail (due to swiveling prisms)
