A new little bird is taking flight... the Fitis
Gurke and Exquiser are still wonderful in their own right after all these years. For years, however, Tim felt a gap between the two wing-controlled models. Sometimes the Gurke was too small for him, other times the Exquiser was too large. The Fitis now closes this gap. It is almost as handy as the Gurke, but boasts a significantly larger wing area and lower wing loading in comparison. The icing on the cake of the new design is the all-moving rudder, which can be assembled and disassembled without tools, thus ensuring a compact transport size. The increased dihedral in conjunction with the rudder even allows control using only rudder and elevator. To summarize: familiar dynamics, better control, more relaxed flying.
Flexibility rethought:
The motor and all-moving rudder can be optionally installed in the Fitis; all versions are included in the kit – you simply decide before construction.
Scope of delivery:
All parts required for the basic construction are included in the kit. These include all laser-cut parts, carbon fiber and wooden strips, and all small parts for the linkages. Only the finest materials are used - best plywood and hard balsa wood.
Possible propulsion:
- Our "Powerset S" includes motor, ESC, spinner, propeller, and 2S LiPo battery
Required accessories:
- Superglue and 5min epoxy
- Covering material for wings and tail unit
- Paint or pore filler for the fuselage
- 2 x KST DS113MG V6 servos for wing control (optional 1x additional for rudder)
- small receiver with 4 channels or more
- Remote control
- LiPo charger
