The distance from the servo output to the center of the ball is 38mm, the fork opening is 6mm. Delivery includes pre-installed ball joint item no. 993021. To ensure that the high torque of modern digital servos is transmitted to the controlled element (e.g., rudder) without play and with smooth operation, this new fork servo lever design was developed for extreme loads. The force is transmitted centrally to the servo gearing, and the fork lever design effectively prevents the servo output from jamming. The servo levers are made of highly compressed carbon fiber plastic. At 300 °C and under high pressure, the levers are shaped in hardened stainless steel molds. Since this process is similar to the manufacturing of highly stressed components in large aircraft construction, it was adopted for the production of these servo levers. The result is a high-strength component that does not have to shy away from comparison with duralumin. However, it is lighter and more vibration-resistant. All servo levers are manufactured in Germany on state-of-the-art CNC machines.
