The distance from the servo output to the center of the ball is 38mm, the fork opening is 6mm. Delivery includes a pre-installed ball joint, item no. 993021. To ensure that the high torque of modern digital servos is transmitted to the controlled element (e.g., rudder) without play and with smooth operation, this new design of the fork servo lever has been engineered for extreme loads. Power transmission occurs centrally through the servo gearing, and the fork lever design effectively prevents jamming of the servo output. The servo levers are made from highly compressed carbon fiber plastic. At 300°C and under high pressure, the levers are shaped in hardened stainless steel molds. Since this process has similarities to the production of highly stressed components in large aircraft construction, it was adopted for the production of these servo levers. The result is a high-strength component that can withstand comparison with duralumin. However, it is lighter and more vibration-resistant. All servo levers are manufactured in Germany on state-of-the-art CNC machines.
