The distance from the servo output to the center of the ball is 46mm, and the fork opening is 6mm. It comes with a pre-installed ball joint, part no. 993021. To ensure that the high torque of modern digital servos is transmitted to the actuated element (e.g., rudder) smoothly and without play, this new design of the fork servo arm has been engineered for extreme loads. The force is transmitted centrally from the servo spline, and the fork lever design effectively prevents jamming of the servo output. The servo arms are made from highly compressed carbon fiber plastic. At 300°C and under high pressure, the arms are formed in hardened stainless steel molds. Since this process is similar to the manufacturing of highly stressed components in large aircraft construction, it has been adopted for the production of these servo arms. The result is a high-strength component that can stand comparison with duralumin. However, it is lighter and more vibration-resistant. All servo arms are manufactured in Germany on state-of-the-art CNC machines.
