The RC model G 109 is an accurate replica (scale 1:6) of the two-seater GFK - motorglider G 109 from Grob-Werke in Mindelheim/Bavaria. After an incredibly short construction period of 21 weeks, the prototype of the new generation of motorgliders was ready to fly and presented on March 14, 1980.
The excellent flight performance of the original aircraft was transferred to the RC model, as were the good take-off and landing characteristics. The model is particularly suitable for the installation of 4-stroke engines up to approx. 7.5 cc displacement. However, electric motors with or without a gearbox can also be installed in the light GRP fuselage. All installations are easily accessible when the canopy is removed. Thus, the model also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of "maintenance".
