This A40 geared drive is equipped with the 8-pole version of the thousand-fold proven A40-S motor. The high-torque and high-speed outrunner, in combination with the efficient 6.7:1 planetary gearbox, has been specially developed for larger electric gliders up to approx. 8 kg take-off weight. Due to the perfect coordination of motor and gearbox, this powerhouse can efficiently and powerfully drive propellers up to 23 inches. It is a very robust and reliable system that works reliably even under extreme conditions and high loads.
This weight-optimized high-end motor, weighing only 247g, fits perfectly into gliders up to 8 kg.
