Hall Sensor for Propeller Positioning with IBEX Brushless Controllers
The positioning function allows you to precisely position the motor/propeller for a safe landing or simply for comfortable continued flight.
With just a few external components (Hall sensor and a small magnet), you can activate this function and prevent damage to your propeller during landing. The magnet must be correctly attached to the rotating part (either motor or propeller), and the Hall sensor must be located in the fuselage or cowling so that the magnet aligns with the Hall sensor at the target propeller position. After activating the positioning function in the menu, also set the positioning PWM so that the motor rotates slowly but smoothly.
The Hall sensor is excellently suited as a position sensor for, e.g., landing gear, retractable engines, and similar applications.
With Jeti Duplex receivers, a servo slot can be set to "digital Input," allowing sensor data to be transmitted to the transmitter.
