Heinkel HE 219, Wingspan 1400mm, Aeronaut # 134200

This replica of a German night fighter from World War II was developed to be powered by two 400 geared motors, fed by a 10-cell battery with 1.7 Ah capacity. In terms of flight characteristics, this model is a treat - beautiful, fast, agile, and yet easy to fly. Experienced model builders who enjoy experimenting can further increase the model's performance by using 12 cells or LiPo batteries. With a wingspan of 1400mm, the two large engine nacelles, and the twin tail, the wing was designed to be removable. Great importance was placed on a precise fit for the ABS parts (cowling, fuselage-wing transition, motor-nacelle-wing).

The transparent cockpit canopy features the marking lines of the original aircraft's metal frame. The GRP fuselage and the equally GRP-made engine nacelles are exceptionally lightweight. The wing and tail surfaces are precisely crafted from balsa. Paper is intended for the covering, especially for the camouflage paint scheme. The landing gear was deliberately omitted, as the additional weight and, above all, the significant air resistance would negatively affect flight characteristics. With a static thrust of over 1 kg (depending on the propulsion system), hand launches are easily possible. The battery is changed via the removable canopy.
