The Helixx is an elegant 6-flap glider for relaxed flying on slopes and in flat terrain. It can be built as a pure glider or as an electric glider. The GRP fuselage and the included template for cutting off the nose offer both options.
The wing is built in the proven aero-naut manner in a jig, which allows for precise positioning of all components and a distortion-free construction. The wing is partially sheeted and offers attractive optical design possibilities, depending on the choice of covering material. The six large flaps can be programmed as desired and allow the setting of various flight conditions, entirely to the pilot's taste. The 90° deployed airbrakes are a reliable descent and landing aid; their effectiveness can be further improved by combining them with the ailerons.
The model's power requirements are low. A 3S LiPo with a capacity starting from 2,400 mAh fits easily and allows for numerous climbs to good altitudes for thermalling.
The Helixx is a model that not only brings joy to the model pilot. Even the construction of the model with its precisely laser-cut components is a lot of fun and builds anticipation for beautiful flights in evening thermals or with light winds on the slope.
