Fully sheeted wing with spar box. 1245mm wingspan with a weight of just under 250g results in a wing loading of approx. 17g/dm² for approx. 15dm², 830mm fuselage length, one-piece wing with double V-form and attached wingtips, forward-mounted horizontal stabilizer.

Both the glider version (necessary parts included) and the electric version can be built from the kit.

16.12.2016: And once again, our in-house supplier GRÜNER-CNC, in close cooperation with the heavenly H-Team, has manufactured a new model aircraft kit of worldwide unique quality. Innovative wing construction, outstanding quality of the laser-cut parts, colored, plotted blueprint, detailed building instructions with numerous construction photos. Easy and very quick to build, easy to fly! And all at a price that could challenge jobs in the Far East.

With our new INNOVATION, we want to cater to all those who have always wanted to build and fly a Höllein/Grüner model with low construction and financial effort, all those who wanted a small, handy and robust model with a large speed range and excellent flight performance for its size class, or simply want to enjoy a little after-work "meadow glider" flying experience to relax.

The airfoil (MB971) was specially designed for this model by Markus Becker (http://www.aerosportbecker.de). It is characterized by very docile slow flight and stall characteristics, a high speed range and low drag. The high aspect ratio of the wing and the similarity of the fuselage contours to our Inside/Introduction are completely intentional. We can't get enough of this fuselage shape... and someday the "Red Dot Award" design prize will surely not bypass our Innovation either...

The kit:

Precisely laser-cut wooden construction, simplest assembly (Höllein 3D puzzle), problem-free and extremely docile take-off, flight, and landing characteristics, wide speed range due to the use of the MB-971 airfoil, outstanding flight and thermal properties. Easy procurement of individual parts and assemblies. Made in Germany!

The central design feature of the fully sheeted wing is the spar box, which – just like the ribs – engages with "feet" into precisely fitting cut-outs in the bottom sheeting, forming a form-fitting mortise and tenon joint. Elegantly shaped wingtips provide a stylish wing finish. The balsa wood fuselage is reinforced in the front area with light plywood. A pre-milled nose block is already prepared for mounting the ROXXY® BL 1820/16 outrunner brushless motor. The canopy is secured with a power magnet. In addition to the laser-cut components, the kit includes all linkage and small parts. A multi-colored 1:1 scale blueprint and a richly illustrated, German building instruction manual are, of course, included with our Grüner-CNC-Line kits.

Adhesives, covering material, drive, and RC components are not included in the kit. For covering the model, we recommend ORACOVER or ORALIGHT iron-on film.

By the way: Our boss had his first thermal flight with his Innovation at 10:00 AM on 12/16/16 at +5°C and 100% overcast sky from 30m altitude over the industrial area in Lautertal (!).

Recommended drive (powerful, but docile):

The recommended drive – consisting of the PULSAR MICRO 1510 brushless motor, a 3-cell LiPo battery with 350mAh capacity, and the Graupner CAM FOLDING folding propeller set 4.7x.2.4 – allows for many climbs to thermal-suspected altitudes. Due to the low flying weight and the low-drag design of the model, the 350mAh 3s LiPo battery with the recommended motorization (approx. 10-15s motor run time per climb) is completely sufficient for approx. 4 minutes of runtime. Even beginners (whom we also want to appeal to due to the flight characteristics and the low entry price) will not be overwhelmed during the climb.
