The wings of the Inside F5J and Introduction F5J are interchangeable and available individually as a kit!
The Model:
15.09.2015: The Introduction F5J, only a few months old, has far surpassed all previous sales records of our own model designs! Now, with the Inside F5J, we also want to cater to those customers for whom a 2-axis model like the Introduction F5J seems too "entry-level" or not maneuverable enough.
Due to the similarity of the sister models Introduction F5J and Inside F5J, the model descriptions are naturally also similar...
Libelle Competition - Libelle Evo - Libelle Supreme - Libelle A 380 - Introduction F5J ... Excellent genes for the new INSIDE F5J, our second model for the extremely attractive F5J competition class! Of course, also for "stay-aloftees", "relaxers/decelerators", "come-to-the-airfield-without-a-charger" and "don't-recharge-between-flights".
The differences to the Introduction F5J are the 6-flap wing with ailerons and flaps and the associated reduced dihedral.
As before: Sturdy tube spar construction, precisely laser-cut wooden construction, extremely simple assembly (Höllein 3D puzzle), problem-free and extremely docile take-off, flight and landing characteristics, large speed range due to the use of the AG35mod. profile, outstanding flight and thermal characteristics. Plus the ability to program a thermal and glide/speed setting in addition to the untwisted flight condition. Easy procurement of individual parts and assemblies. Made in Germany!
Now new: 2866mm wingspan, from 1100g flying weight, 3-part wing with 4-fold dihedral and attached wingtips, tail units in weight-saving, mortised truss construction, pre-mounted and optionally removable horizontal stabilizer, 90° trailing edge landing flaps, wing connection in the main spar, innovative (tool-free and tape-free) locking of the plug-in wings. Vertical descent with deployed landing flaps (90°) and thus also problem-free landing approaches outside the lee eddy (slope and alpine flight, e.g. Fiss!). The positive camber of the wing over the entire span turns a slow and tightly circling model into an even slower and even more tightly circling model. On the other hand, by means of negative camber, the buzzard in the other corner of the model airfield can also be easily reached. After switching to the thermal setting, it will then turn pale with envy (turning radius, see above)! With negative camber, you can then return to the starting point after the thermal climb or approach the next updraft field.
The recommended drive - consisting of the Hacker A20-22L evo brushless outrunner, a 3-cell LiPo with 1300mAh capacity and the CamCarbon 11x6 - enables many climbs to thermal-suspicious altitudes. Due to the low flying weight, 5-10s motor run time per climb is completely sufficient.
The Kit:
The central design feature of the wing is the carbon fiber tube spar, onto which the laser-cut ribs are “threaded”. Elegant wingtips ensure a graceful wing finish. We have given our Introduction F5J and Inside F5J models the most beautifully shaped fuselage of our kit series from Grüner so far and have consistently designed it for the use of small brushless outrunners. With a wingspan of almost 3m and a wing area of 65dm² (wing loading 17g/dm²), we achieve a flying weight of approx. 1100g! The long fuselage and the 4-fold dihedral with attached wingtips enable outstanding circling flight characteristics.
The balsa wood fuselage is reinforced with light plywood in the front section. A pre-milled nose block is already prepared for mounting the Hacker A20-22L evo. The kit includes - in addition to the laser-cut components - CFK spars, GFK leading edges, as well as all linkage and small parts. A multi-colored 1:1 scale construction plan and a richly illustrated, German building instruction are a matter of course for kits from our Grüner-CNC-Line.
Adhesives, covering material, drive and RC components are not included in the kit. We recommend ORACOVER or ORALIGHT iron-on film for covering the model.

- RE-Spinner 35mm on center piece 37- 3.0 -8 (only for the Hacker motor)
- Aeronaut folding propeller CAM Carbon 11x6

- 5-pin "MPX" flat socket (grey - #MU70953), and 5-pin "MPX" flat plug (grey - #MU70913) for connecting the outer wings to the wing center section (2 each needed)
