The Pull-Cut System:
This large carpenter's saw operates on the pull stroke. This means that, unlike Western saws, this hand saw is not guided by pushing movements, but by pulling movements. This allows for very precise and controlled cuts.
The Saw Blade:
Despite its large saw blade, this Japanese saw is much thinner and more flexible compared to Western saws. With its aggressive tooth pattern, you can saw through wood in no time. Less force is also required. Furthermore, the flexible saw blade allows for flush cuts, making it easy to remove protruding workpieces. The saw blade is made of high-quality carbon steel and has a chrome-plated surface, ensuring durability and stability.
Special Tooth Pattern:
The special "SHARK" saw tooth pattern with 3 cutting edges is extremely sharp, as the tooth tips are diamond ground. The coarse and very aggressive tooth pattern allows you to quickly cut through wood. The tooth count of this Japanese saw is 10 TPI (teeth per inch). The carpenter's saw is therefore recommended for general and fast woodworking tasks.
