JETI Max BEC Receiver Power Supply from 2S LiPo/Li-Ion Cells
Jeti Max BEC
The Jeti MAX BEC can power the receiver system from a battery with 2 Lipo/LiFepo cells or 5-6 NiXX cells. The input voltage is monitored by super bright LEDs. If the input voltage is above 7.0V, all green LEDs light up.
As the input voltage drops, the green LEDs gradually turn off. If the input voltage falls below 6.5 V, the red LED lights up, signaling a low battery.
The output voltage can be selected via a jumper. Suitable for small (30-size) to medium model sizes

Technical info on maximum current load capacity of linear voltage regulators (not S-BEC):
The maximum current is calculated from the maximum power dissipation in watts divided by the difference between the input voltage (battery voltage) and the set output voltage.
This applies with normal cooling air discharge, therefore never pack linear voltage regulators in foam or similar materials!
Example here:
Max. power dissipation for MAX BEC = 7W
LiPo battery voltage = 7.2V
Set output voltage = 5.4V
Max current > 7W : 1.8V (voltage difference) = 3.88A
