The K-8B from Phoenix Model is a large glider with a 6.5 m wingspan in a classic design, as can be found at many full-size gliding airfields. The model is manufactured to an excellent standard as a pre-covered wooden construction. The K-8B features a split fuselage and a four-piece wing, allowing for transport even with a "normal" car.
Absolutely true to the original:
This Phoenix model is in no way inferior to its prototype. Many beautiful detailed solutions make the K-8B appear like the original when viewed on the ground. And even in the air, the model presents an absolutely "scale" flight image, which is hardly distinguishable from the flight image of the full-size prototype.
Wooden construction with an enormously high degree of prefabrication:
The model is manufactured in extremely lightweight and high-strength, laser-cut wooden construction. The construction impresses with an enormously high degree of prefabrication, which reduces the construction effort almost to the installation of the electronics (and possibly the drive).
Original ORACOVER® covering:
The aircraft model is completely covered with ORACOVER® film, which is known for its durability on the one hand, and on the other hand provides a great look.
Optionally designed for electric drive:
The K-8B from Phoenix is designed for the optional electric drive, which efficiently pulls the model into thermals. All necessary parts for the installation of an electric motor are included in the delivery.
