Kavan Iron-On Film LIGHT ORANGE, 640mm wide, 2m roll
KAVAN iron-on film is produced from a very thin and lightweight polyester polymer with high strength, covered with a layer of heat-activated adhesive with pigments of excellent high opacity. It is supplied in rolls 64 cm wide and 2 m long. The adhesive side is protected with a clear film.
KAVAN iron-on film is resistant to model building fuels – glow-plug fuel, ignition fuel, and gasoline.
The film thickness is 50-65 µm (including adhesive) and the basis weight is 63-70 g/m² (darker colors are slightly lighter than lighter ones).
The film shrinkage is 5-10%, uniform in all directions.
Ordinary model building irons and heat guns can be used for ironing, the working temperature range is approximately 95-180°C. The optimal temperature for attaching to the structure is approximately 95-100°C, the temperature for shrinking is approximately 130-140°C, and for highly curved surfaces, 140-160°C.
