Kavan Heat Shrink Film TRANSPARENT YELLOW, 640mm wide, 2m roll
KAVAN heat-shrink film is made from a very thin and light, high-strength polyester polymer, covered with a layer of heat-activated adhesive with pigments of excellent high opacity. It is supplied in rolls 64 cm wide and 2 m long. The adhesive side is protected by a clear film.
KAVAN heat-shrink film is resistant to model fuels – glow fuel, ignition fuel, and gasoline.
The film thickness is 50-65 µm (including adhesive) and the grammage is 63-70 g/m² (darker colors are slightly lighter than lighter ones).
The film shrinkage is 5-10%, uniform in all directions.
Ordinary model-building irons and heat guns can be used for ironing; the working temperature range is approx. 95-180°C. The optimum temperature for attaching to the structure is approx. 95-100°C, the temperature for tensioning is approx. 130-140°C, and for strongly curved surfaces 140-160°C.
