KAVAN V20 is an advanced 24-channel RC transmitter that uses a simultaneous 2.4 GHz dual-frequency transmission system with full telemetry support. It offers a peak response time of up to 4 ms, over distances of up to tens of kilometers. You can also choose the ACCST D16 or ACCESS transmission systems, also with telemetry. V20 can therefore be bound with many KAVAN or FrSky receivers, with or without telemetry, with classic PWM and S.BUS outputs.
V20 is suitable for advanced and sport pilots. The transmitter is ideal for controlling various aircraft or helicopter/multicopter models. You can also easily set it up for boat or land models. Use the numerous functions and mixers available in the ETHOS™ operating system. You can conveniently set these according to your own preferences via the large color touch display.
Two high-precision gimbals are available, mounted on 10 ball bearings. This ensures perfectly smooth stick movement in every direction. Their position is detected by high-quality Hall sensors. Compared to potentiometers, they have higher resolution and are not subject to mechanical wear (especially in the center position) and are better protected against moisture and dust. Control is therefore more accurate and reliable.
To control other functions, there are 6 three-position switches, 2 two-position switches (1 momentary), 2 side rotary knobs, 6 freely programmable buttons (front) and two momentary buttons (rear). The built-in 6-axis gyro sensor can be used to control the throttle channel, to control mixer throws and to activate the display. The trim levers and buttons are made entirely of metal, precisely CNC machined. The arrangement of the controls and the ergonomics of the housing are the result of dozens of hours of testing by the KAVAN team.
The transmitter housing is robust and fits perfectly in the hand. Rubberized grips on the sides and back of the transmitter ensure a firm, comfortable and secure hold. From here you can easily reach all controls. The gimbals are located near the edges of the transmitter. So you don't even need a tray to hold the transmitter comfortably. For maximum ergonomics, long tuning levers with switches can also be purchased. You can rotate the gimbals up to 8° and limit their range of motion to 45-60°. Of course, it is also possible to adjust the strength of the neutralization springs and the ratchet. To change the mode, simply select the desired mode in the settings menu, and adjust the throttle ratchet in a few moments.
The V20 has memory for up to 64 models, which can be expanded via MicroSD card. In addition to telemetry data on the display, voice output and vibration feedback are also available. Audio can be transmitted wired via the 3.5 mm jack. Teacher-student mode is available via cable or via Bluetooth®.
Power is supplied by a 2S LiPo battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh, which can be charged directly via USB-C. The transmitter is equipped with a balancer (±50 mV) for 2S LiPo batteries and charges with a current of 2 A at 5 V.
