For epoxy, polyester, and vinylester resins
Milled carbon fibers are made from recycled fibers. The carbon fibers used are mostly equipped with a PU sizing. However, a large part of the sizing evaporates due to the heat generated during the milling process.
When dry, the milled fibers form fiber clumps that dissolve in the resin, allowing the short fibers to distribute evenly.
Area of application:
Production of electrically conductive coatings and adhesives, reinforcement of molding and filler compounds.
