Kontronik offers the KPG27 gearbox pre-assembled on their FUN 500/600 motors. However, they can also be retrofitted to all motors with a 3.17mm shaft diameter using an adapter flange.
The gearbox includes the motor pinion, which you must glue onto the shaft with a Loctite adhesive (e.g., 648 or 2701, not included). The bond can be released with heat. The scope of delivery also includes needle-bearing planets and basic lubrication.
The suitable adapter flange must be purchased separately when retrofitting a direct drive to a gearbox.
The KPG27 should be used for power outputs of approx. 400 watts or more, as a 6mm output shaft is used compared to the KPG25.
