Full flexibility in building a flight model - that's what the LT 200 Flex offers. From the kit, either a glider model or an electric glider model can be built.
For a motor drive, the appropriate bulkhead sets are included; for the glider variant, a shapely balsa nose is made.
Three control options can be built with this model - with pure 2-axis control via elevator/rudder, as 3-axis control with additional ailerons, or as a 4-flap wing with camber/airbrakes.
This allows the LT 200 Flex to be built from the kit as either an RES model or a fully equipped thermal glider.
The construction is almost entirely based on wood, with the exception of the fuselage boom made of thin-walled CFK. The fuselage is built in a layered construction from laser-cut wooden parts.
The wings are made from an easy-to-build rib construction and are fully planked, eliminating the need for covering film.
The wing profile allows for a very slow flight style and also enables the utilization of thermals and updrafts even at low altitudes.
The airbrakes allow for a vertical descent without a significant increase in airspeed.

LT 200 Flex appeals not only to experienced model pilots who have always wanted a multi-flap wing for leisurely thermal circling, but also to young model builders,
who have already gained initial experience in building wooden models (e.g. with the Lilienthal 40 RC) and now want to aim higher. Thanks to the intuitive construction method and age-appropriate building instructions,
this model is also suitable for building groups in clubs, e.g. as a joint winter building project.
