Micro-Fan, for 2mm Motor Shaft

While the trend is clearly towards large impellers, there has been a steady demand for a powerful micro fan.
This impeller, once again designed by Ulf Herder and manufactured entirely using CAD/CAM, has an inner diameter of 50mm and can accommodate motors up to 25mm in diameter.
The rotor is secured to the motor shaft by means of an aluminum driver. The driver is available with bore sizes of 2.0 mm, 2.3 mm, 3.0 mm, and 3.17 mm for all common motors.
The impeller was designed for the Robbe Power 330 motor, with which it produces approximately 200g of thrust with 8 (small) cells.
In terms of strength, the use of powerful brushless drives, such as those offered by Lehner, Hacker, or Astro, is easily possible.
Since the impeller operates at very high speeds, we recommend using motors with ball bearings, such as the MPX Permax 280 BB. For batteries, GP 1100 cells are sensible for single-engine models, and especially GP 2200 cells for twin-engine models.
The impeller is supplied without an inlet ring. The inlet must therefore be provided on the model.

The optimal nozzle should have a diameter of approx. 40mm.
