The Pull-Stroke System:
The Dovetail Japan saw works by pulling. With Western saws, cuts are made by pushing. Sawing on the pull stroke gives you more control over the saw.
The saw blade is also extremely thin and therefore very flexible. This allows for very fine and thin cuts for extremely precise sawing work.
The Saw Blade:
Compared to European saw blades, the dovetail saw is much thinner and more flexible. The extremely thin saw blade ensures clean, efficient, and fast cuts. In addition, very little effort is required. The extremely sharp teeth ensure that you do not "cant" while sawing. The quality of the saw blade material is enormous. It is made of high-quality carbon steel with a chrome-plated surface. The teeth are electronically impulse-hardened and promise a longer service life.
Special Teeth:
The three cutting edges of the special "SHARK" saw teeth are extremely sharp. This greatly minimizes frayed cutting edges. The likelihood of rework is thus greatly reduced. The 22 teeth per inch indicate very fine teeth. A small mnemonic: the finer the intended use, the finer the teeth should be.
