The engine mount is designed for single-cylinder and boxer engines from 30 to 180cc. It is constructed in such a way that the engine support is screwed to the firewall with M5 screws in 4 rubber parts.
The spacers must be adjusted so that the damping properties of the rubber are maintained. The rubbers are compressed by about 0.2-0.3mm, and not, as with the use of D-locks, where the rubber is compressed to such an extent that hardly any vibration absorption occurs.
The mount consists of turned top and bottom washers, each with a spacer precisely inserted into a countersink. This makes the spacer and top washers a single unit.
The engine mounting plate sits securely in the nubs of the rubber elements. The rubber elements do not sit flush in the bore of the engine mount, but are inserted into the bore with slight pre-tension by nubs on the rubbers. This creates optimal vibration absorption in the crankshaft rotation direction at the narrowest point of transition from the engine mount to the fuselage. The carburetor can be linked without problems with a linkage with this engine mount.
The mount weighs approximately 100 grams.
The holes in the engine mount have a diameter of 16mm.
The aluminum parts have a diameter of 32mm and build up approximately 7mm from the firewall to the rear edge of the engine bulkhead.
Advantages of this mount:
- prevents dangerous vibration peaks
- has a noise-damping effect
- the engine can be throttled much further at idle than when using a Hydromount (no shaking)
- this results in a lower landing speed
- no maintenance required
- rubbers cannot tear off, making it much safer
When installed correctly, there is also no shaking of the model, as is possible when using vibrating rubber elements. The vibration absorption can be adjusted depending on the model by the length of the spacers. The parts are designed for engine bulkheads of 6 to 7mm. Smaller engines can also be screwed directly, and the rubbers inserted into the firewall.

The sleeves can be shortened by turning, filing, or sawing. Afterwards, the sleeves can be ground flat by clamping them in a drill press with sandpaper underneath.
